Ingredients
  

Beef

  • 2 pounds Beef Chuck Roast can use brisket as a substitution

Searing

  • 2 tablespoons Vegetable Oil can use canola or avocado oil as a substitute

Aromatics

  • 1 medium Yellow Onion can substitute with shallots for a milder taste
  • 4 cloves Garlic substitute with garlic powder (1 tsp per clove)
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh Ginger substitute with ground ginger (½ tsp for every tablespoon of fresh ginger)

Sauce

  • ½ cup Low-Sodium Soy Sauce tamari makes it gluten-free
  • 1 cup Beef Broth chicken broth can be used but will alter the taste
  • ¼ cup Brown Sugar can reduce for less sweetness
  • 2 tablespoons Rice Vinegar substitute with apple cider vinegar or white vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon Red Pepper Flakes optional for heat

Thickening

  • 2 tablespoons Cornstarch ensure to mix with cold water for proper consistency

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Pat beef cubes dry with paper towels, then season generously with salt and pepper.
  • Heat vegetable oil in a Dutch oven over medium-high heat. Sear the beef until browned on all sides, about 3-4 minutes per side.
  • In the same pot, sauté the yellow onion until translucent, about 5 minutes. Add minced garlic and grated fresh ginger, cooking for an additional minute.
  • Return the beef to the pot along with low-sodium soy sauce, beef broth, brown sugar, rice vinegar, and optional red pepper flakes. Stir well.
  • Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer, then cover it and braise on low heat for 2-3 hours.
  • Once the beef is tender, whisk together cornstarch and cold water, then stir into the sauce. Let it simmer until thickened, about 5 minutes.
  • Serve the Glazed Sticky Beef Bites hot, garnished with sesame seeds or chopped green onions.
