For the Casserole

  • 24 ounces Frozen Cheese Ravioli Or substitute with fresh ravioli or other filled pastas
  • 24 ounces Marinara Sauce Can use homemade or alternative pasta sauces
  • 3 cups Shredded Mozzarella Cheese Provolone or Monterey Jack can be used
  • 1 cup Grated Parmesan Cheese Nutritional yeast can be a dairy-free alternative
  • 1 tablespoon Italian Seasoning Fresh herbs like basil and oregano can be used
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Pepper
  • 1 cup Fresh Basil Optional garnish

How to Make Baked Ravioli Casserole

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Spread a thin layer of marinara sauce in a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  • Layer half of the frozen cheese ravioli over the sauce.
  • Spoon half of the remaining marinara sauce over the ravioli.
  • Sprinkle half of both cheeses over the sauce.
  • Repeat layering with the remaining ravioli, sauce, and cheeses, topping with mozzarella and Parmesan.
  • Sprinkle Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper on top.
  • Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes.
  • Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  • Let cool for a few minutes and garnish with fresh basil if desired.

Notes

For added flavor, consider mixing in cooked ground beef or sautéed vegetables. Leftovers can be stored for up to three days in an airtight container.
