  • 8 oz sturdy tortilla chips
  • 1 lb lean ground beef (80/20)
  • 6 slices thick-cut bacon
  • 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • ½ cup favorite BBQ sauce
  • ¼ cup sliced jalapeños (fresh or pickled)
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • ¼ cup chopped green onions

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked. Drain excess fat, season with salt and pepper, and stir in half of the BBQ sauce.
  3. In another pan, fry bacon until crispy. Drain on paper towels and chop into small pieces.
  4. Spread tortilla chips evenly on the baking sheet. Top with seasoned ground beef, crumbled bacon, shredded cheese, and jalapeños. Drizzle with additional BBQ sauce if desired.
  5. Bake for 10-15 minutes until cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
  6. Let cool slightly before serving, then top with sour cream and green onions.
