  • 1 tsp red gel food coloring
  • 1 tsp blue gel food coloring
  • ½ cup coarse sea salt
  • ½ cup baking soda
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter (melted)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Let store-bought dough sit at room temperature for 30 minutes.
  3. Divide the dough into three equal parts: one plain (white), one colored red, and one colored blue.
  4. Roll each section into ropes about 24 inches long.
  5. Twist one rope from each color together into a pretzel shape.
  6. Boil water with baking soda; drop each pretzel in for 30 seconds, then remove with a slotted spoon.
  7. Place boiled pretzels on a parchment-lined baking sheet, brush with melted butter, and sprinkle with sea salt.
  8. Bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown.
