  • 1 sheet puff pastry (thawed)
  • 1 cup fresh mushrooms (finely chopped)
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 2 tbsp butter (melted)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, melt 1 tablespoon of butter. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, then add chopped mushrooms. Cook until tender and moisture is evaporated (about 5 minutes).
  3. In a bowl, mix the sautéed mushrooms with shredded mozzarella cheese, and season with salt and pepper.
  4. Roll out the puff pastry on a floured surface and cut into 3-inch squares.
  5. Spoon about 1 tablespoon of the mushroom mixture onto each square. Fold corners over to seal tightly.
  6. Brush each pocket with melted butter before placing on the baking sheet.
  7. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
