  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 1 lb Italian sausage (mild or spicy)
  • 1 cup thick-cut pepperoni slices
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 cups rotini or penne pasta
  • 2 cups pizza sauce
  • 1 Tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and prepare a 9×13 inch baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, add olive oil and cook ground beef and Italian sausage until browned, approximately 7-10 minutes. Drain excess fat.
  3. Boil water in a separate pot and cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente, then drain.
  4. In a large bowl, mix cooked meats, pasta, pizza sauce, Italian seasoning, and half of the mozzarella until well combined.
  5. Transfer the mixture into the baking dish, top with remaining mozzarella and additional pepperoni slices if desired.
  6. Bake uncovered for 25-30 minutes until bubbly and golden brown. Let cool slightly before serving.
