  • 4 large bell peppers (any color)
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded provolone cheese
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Slice tops off bell peppers and remove seeds; place cut-side up in a baking dish.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef until browned. Drain excess fat and add onions and garlic; sauté until translucent.
  3. Lower heat and blend in cream cheese until smooth. Stir in half of the shredded cheese, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
  4. Fill each pepper with the mixture and top with remaining shredded cheese.
  5. Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove foil for the last five minutes to allow cheese to bubble.
  6. Let cool slightly before serving.
