  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup Greek yogurt (full-fat preferred)
  • 2 tbsp melted butter or ghee

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
  2. Add flour, salt, and yogurt; mix until combined into a dough.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 8-10 minutes until smooth.
  4. Place in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let rise in a warm place for about an hour or until doubled in size.
  5. Punch down the dough and divide into equal portions. Roll each piece into an oval shape about 1/2 inch thick.
  6. Heat a cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat and cook each naan for about 2 minutes per side until golden brown.
  7. Brush with melted butter or ghee before serving warm.
