  • 34 lbs pork shoulder
  • 6 garlic cloves, peeled
  • 1 large onion, coarsely chopped
  • 1 handful fresh thyme sprigs
  • 2 tsp caraway seeds
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 cup beef broth

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Generously rub salt and pepper all over the pork shoulder.
  3. In a large roasting pan, scatter chopped onions and garlic around the pork. Add thyme sprigs and caraway seeds.
  4. Pour the beef broth into the pan around the pork.
  5. Roast in the preheated oven for about 3 hours or until the internal temperature reaches at least 145°F (63°C).
