  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tsp active dry yeast
  • 1 cup warm milk (110°F)
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter (melted)
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup pineapple juice
  • 2 cups powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let sit until bubbly (about 5 minutes).
  2. Add melted butter and half of the flour, stirring until smooth. Gradually mix in remaining flour.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  4. Place in a greased bowl, cover with a towel, and let rise in a warm spot for about an hour or until doubled.
  5. Roll dough into a rectangle (1/2 inch thick), brush with melted butter, sprinkle with cinnamon sugar, and roll tightly.
  6. Cut into slices (about 2 inches thick) and place in a greased baking dish. Bake at 350°F for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
  7. Drizzle cooled rolls with glaze made from powdered sugar mixed with pineapple juice before serving.
