  • 1 egg (for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Peel and core the apples, then cut them into small chunks.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the diced apples with brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and lemon juice. Let sit for about 10 minutes to meld flavors.
  3. Roll out the thawed puff pastry on a floured surface and cut into squares (approximately 4 inches each).
  4. Place one tablespoon of the apple mixture in the center of each square. Fold corners toward the center and pinch to seal tightly.
  5. Whisk together the egg with one tablespoon of water; brush this mixture over each sealed bite for a golden finish.
  6. Arrange bites on a parchment-lined baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown. Serve warm.
