Pistachio Baklava Rolls are a luscious dessert that combines flaky phyllo pastry with a rich pistachio filling, all drenched in a sweet honey syrup.   • 12 sheets phyllo dough
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup pistachios, roughly chopped
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup water (for syrup)
  • ½ cup honey

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. Layer five sheets of phyllo dough on your work surface, brushing melted butter between each sheet.
  3. In a bowl, mix chopped pistachios, sugar, and cinnamon until well combined.
  4. Spread the pistachio mixture evenly over the layered phyllo and tightly roll into logs.
  5. Place rolls seam-side down in the baking dish and brush with more melted butter. Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
  6. While baking, combine water and honey in a saucepan over medium heat and simmer for about 10 minutes until syrupy.
  7. Drizzle warm syrup over baked rolls before serving.
