  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 1 package (3 oz) red Jello mix (berry or cherry flavor)
  • 1/2 cup vodka (or fruit juice for non-alcoholic version)
  • 1/2 cup boiling water (for white layer)
  • 1 tablespoon unflavored gelatin
  • 1 package (3 oz) blue Jello mix (blue raspberry flavor)
  • Whipped cream for topping

Instructions

  1. Prepare clear cups or shot glasses.
  2. In a bowl, dissolve red Jello mix in 1 cup boiling water. Stir in vodka if desired. Pour into cups to fill one-third full and refrigerate until set, about 2 hours.
  3. For the white layer, dissolve unflavored gelatin in 1/2 cup cold water. Let bloom for 5 minutes, then add 1/2 cup boiling water and stir well. Pour over the red layer and refrigerate for 1 hour.
  4. Repeat the process with blue Jello mix: dissolve in boiling water, stir in vodka if desired, pour over the white layer, and refrigerate until firm, about 2 hours.
  5. Top each shot with whipped cream before serving.
