  • 1 box chocolate cake mix
  • 3 large eggs
  • ½ cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup green frosting (store-bought or homemade)
  • 6 sugar cones
  • 1 cup assorted candy decorations (M&Ms, sprinkles)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tin with cupcake liners.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the chocolate cake mix, eggs, vegetable oil, and water. Mix with an electric mixer on medium speed for about two minutes until smooth.
  3. Fill each cupcake liner about two-thirds full with batter.
  4. Bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Cool in the tin for five minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
  5. Once cooled, pipe green frosting onto each cupcake and top with an upside-down sugar cone as the tree trunk. Decorate with assorted candies.
