  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 4 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • Food coloring (red and green)

Instructions

  1. 1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
  2. 2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. 3. In another bowl, beat butter until creamy; gradually add sugar until fluffy. Add eggs one by one and mix in vanilla.
  4. 4. Gradually combine dry ingredients with milk until smooth.
  5. 5. Pour batter evenly into prepared pans; bake for 25-30 minutes. Cool completely.
  6. 6. For frosting, beat butter until creamy; gradually add powdered sugar and milk until desired consistency is reached.
  7. 7. Assemble the cake by frosting between layers and covering the top and sides. Use food coloring to create Santa’s face.
