  • 9 lasagna noodles (regular or no-boil)
  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 4 cups marinara sauce
  • 15 oz ricotta cheese (whole milk recommended)
  • 3 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning

Instructions

  1. Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat. Drain excess fat and let cool.
  2. In a bowl, mix ricotta cheese, egg, Italian seasoning, and half of the Parmesan until smooth.
  3. Spray the slow cooker with non-stick spray. Layer with marinara sauce, noodles (broken if necessary), ricotta mixture, and mozzarella cheese. Repeat layers until all ingredients are used.
  4. Finish with marinara sauce on top followed by remaining mozzarella and Parmesan.
  5. Cover and cook on low for 4 hours or until noodles are tender and cheese is melted.
  6. Let sit for 15 minutes before serving.
