  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened

  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup rock candy, various colors
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy (3-5 minutes).
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time until fully incorporated.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually combine with the wet ingredients until just mixed.
  5. Gently fold in the rock candy and chocolate chips.
  6. Scoop tablespoon-sized portions onto prepared baking sheets, spacing them two inches apart.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are golden but centers look slightly underbaked. Let cool before transferring to wire racks.
